Hi, I’m Kelly Hipskind — founder of Redemptive Advisors, lifelong fisherman, and proud matchmaker of small business owners and the buyers who are bold enough to take the rod and reel next.

I’ve spent years navigating murky waters — not just lakes and oceans, but creating and operating early stage companies, investing in early stage ventures, real estate, boardrooms, balance sheets, and burnout. I’ve built businesses. I’ve exited some. I’ve sat across the table with sellers afraid to let go, and buyers unsure if they could reel it in.

And I’ve come to believe this:
Buying or selling a business is like fishing for the catch of your life. You don’t need luck. You need the right bait, the right timing, and someone who knows when to set the hook.

The Hook

My first venture was like the first time my grandfather took me fishing- it was magical!  It was fun, it was confusing, it was scary, and it was pure adrenaline once you started landing bigger fish.  In short, it all started started with faith and a funny feeling.

I've always known I was called to more than transactions. I was called to transformation — being an entrepreneur is my pulpit, helping entrepreneurs redeem the years they poured into something by finding a buyer who sees the same value.

So I built Redemptive Advisors not as a firm — but as a mission.
